Kameejans are human. Their ancestors were refugees from a world that is no longer habitable, and arrived by generation ships towing a space station, which has since fallen to anarchy and been replaced. Kameeja itself has a thick atmosphere that is only breathable with a pressure mask and an immiscible biosphere, so they live in dome cities, several million on the planet and fewer than a million on the starbase.

They live under the Kameejan Central Authority, a strictly controlled, heavily watched state run by an AI Arbiter, with very strict laws on docking, travel, weapons and drugs, and even those who dislike some of its practices firmly believe they have one of the better systems of government in the sector. They keep an oversized navy against the nearby Reshanna threat, and have no time for special arrangements with other polities, least of all smaller groups like the fleet.

The big, hairy, canine mercenaries who came aboard the Dark Grail were at first taken for Kameejans, but they are Ininedo werewolves.
