The Hub
The Hub is a major shipyard with five main wings, each controlled by a different corporation:
Zephyr Industries (ZI)
Current owners and controllers of the Hub with very little presence on the planet. Their main business is the shipyard and station. The control the lower portion of the Hub directly but oversee the entirety of it.
Centralized Cybernetics Incorporated (CCI)
One of two cybernetic manufacturers in the system. Controls one of the spokes of the Hub but have most of their manufacturing business on the surface of the planet.
Integrated Cybernetics Corporation (ICC)
The other "competing" cybernetic manufacturer in the system. Controls another of the spokes of the Hub but has most of their business focused on the planet surface.
Veremouth
This corporation is focused on extracting raw materials from the planet and any asteroids unlucky enough to be close enough for their excavation to be economical. They are well known to be backstabbers, though most of the megacorps will readily stab each other in the back for a quick buck. This was the corporation that was met during the Sharing is Caring mission. Controls one of the spokes of the Hub.
Newson-Matsuri Energy (NME)
This corporation provides all of the power on the planet and also develops all of the spike drives and starship powerplants. Controls one of the spokes of the Hub.
Mercandiacon Components (MC)
This corporation designs and builds a lot of the smaller components that go into starships as well as a majority of the smaller widgets, consumer products, and weapons sold in the Kos system. They control the 5th and final spoke of the Hub.
This region contains the following Fleet Assets:
Corporate Headquarters belonging to Silas Quigley (See Stationary Fleet Assets)
Region C: Kos II
Kos II is a planet with acid rain and where deadly eruptions are frequent.
Gravity: 6.373 m/s2 (64% Earth gravity)
Orbital Period: 281 days
Region D: Kos III
Kos III is an uninhabited ice planet
Pockets of superheated gas beneath the ice sometimes cause the surface to burst and unleash a geyser of hot gas, boiling nitrogen, and shards of ice.
