The High Grear is a prison transport of the Surul Theocratic Governance, a patrol boat hull with one sandthrower and augmented plating, running between Surul and Mrelit. It carries sixteen elite crew, homesick and low on morale from a competitive posting far from Surul, and four prisoners in a lift-platform cell block covered by two ceiling turrets. It has no windows, an airlock at the rear of one deck and two lifeboat ejection plates. ‹grear_escape#1057003884255649853›
Pill's escape
In fortnight 9 of 3201 the Sulura went after it to free Pill, a teleporter whose condition had been hidden from his jailers, without anything that could be traced back to Atlas. Simul kept the Sulura off the Grear's sensors while Pill opened the cells' insecure comms panel, and the Grear answered a plea about profaned holy water with the reminder that only Surul's water is truly holy. ‹grear_escape#1057000223303532564› ‹grear_escape#1057799904782733452›
Pursuit combat followed, with Simul jamming its comms and crashing its systems until the Sulura was close enough to teleport across. Inside, the prisoners revolted and were put down by the turrets, while the boarding party walked the hull and blew the outer airlock door. The Grear's sandthrower hit the Sulura for 9 on the way in, and the boarding was still going when the server ended. ‹grear_escape#1065043608467668992› ‹grear_escape#1071410330720280627›
